John Dicken is a renowned and award winning Chef and Restaurateur of 30 years, who still loves to cook for his customers. Originally trained at the Connaught Hotel in London, he opened his first restaurant in Wethersfield in 1989. In 2000 he continued his success at the White Hart in Great Yeldham. For the last 10 years he has been the chef and owner of dickens in Halstead.
Although the restaurant has greatly changed over the years, John has never changed his attitude to food, he still loves to cook in his kitchen and create something for everyone.
